Foreword Development, Paris & New York

How a build runs.

Two ways of working, one studio. A property site on WP FloorMap is a published route with published clocks. A bespoke commission is a conversation first, and the honest answer about its length is that it depends on what we agree to make. Both are built by the same hands, in Paris and New York.

Two tempos

The same studio at two speeds.

A property siteWP FloorMap

  1. Day zero You send a SightMap link
  2. One business day A working preview of your own property, on your own data
  3. An afternoon Live on your domain

A bespoke buildForeword

  1. One business day A person replies, and it is a person who builds
  2. Then four acts The vision, the development, the vetting, the stewardship
  3. As long as it takes We do not publish a bespoke timetable, because the honest one is written with you in the first week

The fast route is not the lesser one. It is the same standards on a narrower brief: a property, its map and its availability, which we have built often enough to know the shape of.

Two cases we see often

Not every building is leasing yet, and not every building is apartments.

A lease-up

A building under construction needs its website long before it needs a leasing office. The renderings, the neighborhood, the floor plans and the waiting list all come first, and the first signed lease can be a year out. So the work is a hybrid: the bespoke half happens up front, where a lease-up actually needs it, and WP FloorMap Studio runs underneath, so the map, the pricing and the availability are live the day the data is.

What we will not do is start the Studio meter on a building that cannot yet take a lease. Through lease-up the site is hosted, updated, monitored and supported for a modest monthly fee, and the Studio subscription itself begins when the property is ready to accept leases.

A building that is not apartments

Multifamily is where WP FloorMap started, not the edge of the work. We build for warehouses, office space, distribution centers and mixed commercial portfolios, and the product follows: commercial properties in particular run directly on Engrain’s own dashboard, with no PMS behind them, and the built-in application flow still carries a prospect from inquiry to application.

The studio has described itself the same way since the beginning — property developers, industrial groups and companies of discretion — and the work does not change with the asset class: live availability, a real plan of the building and an inquiry a prospect can complete on the page.

Since 2019

How a story gets made.

Act I

The vision

We read before we write: your buildings, your market, your ambitions. That reading is the work, not the preamble to it, and it is done by the people who will build the thing rather than by an account manager writing a brief for someone else.

It begins with a note and a reply. No form disappears into a system here, and there are no calendar pop-ups to negotiate before a person answers.

Act II

The development

The writing happens here, in Paris and New York, by the hands you actually hired. Two ateliers, one team: the project moves through the working day twice.

We make no distinction between developers, project managers and sales. When you speak to someone from the studio you are speaking to a person who builds the product, not to a messenger carrying your question somewhere else.

Act III

The vetting

Proofread like a manuscript: accessible to every reader, secure by design, and built for the consent and disclosure practices expected under CCPA and CPRA, with GDPR handled the same way for the clients who need it. Accessibility is part of how a page is made here rather than a repair scheduled after launch, because a visitor who cannot use the site cannot become a client.

What we hold ourselves to is written down and public, not summarised for you here. The accessibility statement and the security page say it in their own words.

Act IV

The stewardship

We stay for the sequels; good stories are never finished. Since 2019 every client who has finished a first chapter with us has returned to begin another, which is the only retention figure we would put in writing.

On a WP FloorMap site that stewardship has a shape you can read off a price list: included hours every month, support channels by plan and a managed option where nobody on your side ever logs into WordPress. On a bespoke build it is whatever we agreed it would be.

After the launch

Who you reach, and how fast.

Every plan includes email support from the same team in New York and Paris that builds the product, never an outsourced help desk, and anything affecting prospects or availability is treated as urgent and answered within one business day.

How to reach us, by plan
Email info@foreword.dev every plan
WhatsApp and SMS your Foreword contact Launch and Studio
Dedicated Slack a private channel with your team Launch and Studio
Phone priority response Studio

And whatever we build stays yours: the site, the content and the code, with no exit fee and no permission needed to take it elsewhere. Open by design sets out exactly what that means.

Every story begins with a conversation.

Tell us about a building, a portfolio or an idea that will not leave you alone. A person replies within one business day.
